All workshops are held at Downham Village Hall, close to Billericay. In these 4 hour workshops, we concentrate on the examples below spending time with the postures for a more intense focus. After 3 hours we stop for a vegetarian buffet which is included in the price, then finish with half an hour of relaxation and deep meditation. Examples of the themes are as follows:
- Chakra focus in postures
- Fluidity and movement
- Breathing and mindfulness
- Realigning the spine
- Yoga in pairs. To aid mobility and stretch
Schedule
In the 4 hour workshops we usually work physically for about 3 hours (with rest periods and freedom to wonder!) and stop to eat yummy food for 20 minutes, then resume for relaxation and guided meditation for 40 minutes.
Most people tend to book each month but we always welcome new people every time. These afternoons are completely for ‘you’ so everything is optional and you take the class as slowly as you want. We tend to end up chatting about postures, breathing and anything else that arises! It just gives us a chance to take more time than in a usual 1½ hour class.
