Please help to restore Ingatestone’s Grade 1 historic church.

Easter Gift Weekend, 7th & 8th of April.

The church is important to the thousands of people who pass through its doors for Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, regular Services, the Victorian evening and concerts.

Our GIFT WEEKEND is an opportunity to express your support.
Our target is £7,000.

The oldest part of our Grade 1 listed church dates from 1080. Much of the interior has not been decorated since the 1870s. Funds are needed for general decoration. In 2011 we restored the 17th century Petre Chapel, the first restoration since it was built.Parts of the exterior brickwork, dating back at least four hundred years, badly need repair.

Envelopes are available at and can be returned to
The Rectory, 1 Rectory Close, Fryerning Lane, Ingatestone, CM4 0DB
Avrohurst
Doddy’s
The Pet Shop
Philomena

Envelopes can still be taken to the above places
or to the Sunday morning service at 9.45.

What did Jesus say about money?

On Sunday 26th of February Canon Martin Wood, the Bishop of Bradwell's Parish Development Officer spoke on this question at the 9.45 service at St. Edmund and St. Mary Parish Church. He gave a power-point presentation and lead a discussion on this thorny question after the service.
