Children between the ages of 3 and 11 are very welcome to come and join us. Younger children are also welcome if they can be accompanied by a parent.
We normally meet as a Sunday Club at 9.45am on the second, third and fifth Sundays in each month at the service in Ingatestone Church, and retire soon after the service starts to the Parish Room. On the first Sunday in the month many of the children like to attend the family service at Ingatestone and on the fourth Sunday the Family Service at Fryerning. Please refer to our detailed programme as this normal pattern is varied when other activities occur.
When we retire to the Parish Room we divide the children into three classes:
- Class 1 takes the 3 to 5 year olds and is where these young children learn about God, and get to know about Jesus in ways which are packed with interesting things for them to do.
- Class 2 takes the 6 to 8 year olds and aims to develop the children’s skills to help them explore the bible and discover how they can follow Jesus at home and at school.
- Class 3 takes the children over 8 years old and engages their sense of adventure and their curiosity about life, to encourage them to grow in faith.
