The Bible Reading Group will now begin on Monday 2nd of May. This meeting will be at 7.45 at the Rectory. We will be meeting on the first Monday of each month. It will then be for the group to arrange another meeting during that month in one of their houses if that is their wish.
Members of the group will need to order the Bible Reading Fellowship notes New Daylight from Marjory Perring (353814). We will then meet together to talk about any specific points raised in the daily readings.
I know that many people found great benefit from reading the booklet of Lent meditations prepared by the local Churches Together ministers. Do consider joining this group. If the evening meetings are difficult, I strongly encourage you to still take the note. Around 10-15 minutes spent reading a Bible passage each day will be time well spent in any busy schedule and certainly not time wasted. It will also flow naturally into prayer. As we grow in faith, together with love and service to God, the daily discipline of Bible reading and reflection is an ancient practice which is of huge benefit.
